RSV ’26

Awareness Month

RSV protection now exists for infants, during pregnancy and for older adults. This October, let’s make sure every community knows about it — and can get it.

Check your record

Already protected? Check your record.

Your state keeps an official record of the vaccines you’ve had. Look yours up before your next visit, and check again after you get protected.

Record links kept current by ivaccinated.org. Not listed, or not sure? See every registry at CDC → Your provider or pharmacy can also pull up your record.

About RSV

Common virus. Serious risk.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a highly contagious respiratory virus. For most people it feels like a cold. For babies, older adults and people with chronic heart or lung conditions, it can mean the hospital.

The good news: CDC recommends RSV immunization for older adults, during pregnancy and for infants. Most people need just one dose.
